12-2804.   General powers.The authority shall have power to acquire, construct, own, operate andmaintain for public service a transportation system in the metropolitanarea as herein defined, and all the powers necessary or convenient toaccomplish the purposes of this act, including, without limiting thegenerality of the foregoing, the specific powers enumerated herein.
