12-2816.   Transit board; appointment of board; terms.Members of the board referred to in K.S.A. 12-2815, and amendments thereto,shall be appointed by the mayor with the approval of the governing body of the city.

      Upon the expiration of the term of any member, all successorboard members shall be appointed and hold office for four years fromthe date of their appointment. The city clerk of any city adopting this actshall certify the action of the city governing body with respect to suchappointments and file such certificates as a part of the records of theoffice of the city clerk of the city. Before entering upon the dutiesof office, each member of the board shall take and subscribe theconstitutional oath of office and same shall be filed in the office of thecity clerk.
