12-2839.   Adoption of ordinance; election required.Theprovisions of thisact shall be adopted by ordinance at any regularmeeting, adjourned meeting or special meeting called for suchpurpose. Any such ordinance shall not takeeffect unless anduntil the question of the approval of such ordinance has been submitted toa vote of the electors of the city and a majority of those voting on thequestion shall have voted in favor thereof. The election and vote onany such ordinance shall be called, held and conducted in like manner asprovided by the general bond law.
