12-403.   Recordation of plat; certificate of approval.The map or plat so made, acknowledged and certified shall be filed andrecorded in the office of the register of deeds and a copy thereof filedwith the county clerk of the county in which the city or addition issituated: Provided, however, That said register of deeds is herebyprohibited from filing and recording such map or plat unless the same shallhave attached thereto a certificate in due form showing the approval ofsaid map or plat by the county attorney in case of a town or city or by thegoverning body in case of a proposed addition to any city of the second orthird class or any town.
