Chapter 12.--CITIES AND MUNICIPALITIES

Article 44.--CODE FOR MUNICIPAL COURTS; PROCEEDINGS AFTER ARREST AND PRIOR TO TRIAL

     
12-4404.   Arraignment.
Arraignment shall be conducted in open court by stating to the accused
person the substance of the charge and calling upon the accused to plead
thereto. Arraignment for purposes of accepting plea of not guilty may be
accomplished by telephone, mail or appearance by counsel.
