Chapter 12.--CITIES AND MUNICIPALITIES
Article 45.--CODE FOR MUNICIPAL COURTS; TRIALS AND PROCEEDINGS INCIDENT THERETO

      12-4510.   Same; imprisonment; fine.When a sentence of imprisonment is pronounced, the municipal judge orthe clerk of the municipal court shall prepare and deliver to the chief ofpolice a copy of the entry of judgment, duly certified by such judge orclerk, which shall be sufficient authority to such chief of police toexecute the sentence and confine the accused person to jail for the timespecified, or until further order of the court.

      When a fine is levied as punishment, the municipal judge or clerk of themunicipal court shall issue a statement setting forth the amount of thefine and the manner of payment. Failure to pay in the manner specified mayconstitute contempt of court.
