12-518.   Same; filing of certified copies.Whenever the governing body of any city shall declare by resolution theentire boundary of such city, the city clerk forthwith shall file acertified copy of such resolution withthe county clerk, withthe register of deeds of the county or counties in which such city islocated and with the state transportation engineer, and the city clerk ofany such city in a county having an election commissioner also shall file acertified copy of such resolution with the electioncommissioner. No fee shall be charged for such filings, and the register ofdeeds shall file but not record the certified copy of any suchresolution which is filed in the office of such register of deeds.
