12-522.   Filing of annexation ordinance.Upon the passage and publication of any annexation ordinance authorizedunder this act, the city clerk shall file a certified copy of suchordinance with the county clerk, the register of deeds, and the countyelection commissioner, if any, of the county or counties in which such cityis located. No fee shall be charged for such filings, and the register ofdeeds shall file, but not record, the certified copies of such ordinancesfiled with him or her.
