12-609.   Guaranty by contractor for maintenance and repair.The governing body shall have power to provide, in any contract made bythem for curbing, guttering or paving any street or alley, that thecontractor shall guarantee to maintain and repair the same for such time asthe governing body shall deem proper, and no special assessment shall beaffected or invalidated on account of such guaranty.
