13-1023. For what purposes private property may be purchased or
condemned.
Private property may be purchased or condemned for streets, alleys,
levees, market houses, market places, depot grounds, bridges or approaches
thereto, public buildings, sewers, to acquire stone quarries or other
material for the improvement of the streets and alleys, or other public
improvements, and for public parks within or without the city, as may be
hereafter needed or required for the use of the city.
