13-1237.   Same; certain contracts prohibited; exception.This act shall not authorize the governing body of any such city tocontract with any person, firm or corporation to supply electric energy tothe municipal light plant, and the making of any such contract is herebyprohibited: Provided, however, That in the event the municipal lightplant is temporarily or partially disabled due to an act of God or thebreaking of machinery or equipment, the governing body of such city maycontract for a supply of electric energy during, but not to exceed, thetime necessary to make repairs to remove such temporary or partialdisability.
