13-1261.   Same; repairs and improvements of utility; compliance withfederal acts or rules.The governing body of such city, or where there is a board of publicutilities having daily operational control of thewater and light plants, then the board, ishereby authorized in its discretion to contract for and construct suchrepairs, extensions, reconstruction, alteration, improvements orenlargements of such utilities in accordance with the provisions andrequirements of any federal act applicable thereto, and rulespromulgated thereunder, and to use any fund that may be available forsuch construction in such manner as will comply with the provisions ofany such act and rules promulgated thereunder, including any grant orgrants of money therein provided, and to do all other acts and thingsnecessary to be done in order to comply with the provisions of any suchfederal act and rules promulgated thereunder.
