13-13a08.   Oath of board of regents; service without compensation; organization;quorum.(a) Immediately after receiving notification of their appointment,regents-elect shall take oath to uphold the constitution of the UnitedStates and the constitution of Kansas, and faithfully, honestly andimpartially to discharge the duties of their office. Regents shall servewithout compensation.

      (b)   The board ofregents shall organize each year, electing from their own number achairperson and such other officers as may be necessary for the fulldischarge of the duties imposed on them. A majority of the regents dulyappointed and qualified at any time shall constitute a quorum for the transactionof business.
