13-13a12. Employment of president and other employees by regents; delegationof authority.The board of regents of a municipal university shall have power toemploy a president of the municipal university, who shall be the chiefexecutive officer of the board and of the municipal university; to employall teachers, administrative assistants, university police officers andother employees necessary forthe maintenance of the municipal university and the discharge ofitsfunctions; and to fix the salary or compensation of each; to provide all suchnecessary buildings, books, apparatus, means andappliances as may be needful for the maintenance and furtherance of theuniversity and its various colleges, departments and undertakings; to makeall suitable bylaws delegating all matters concerning admission,government, management and control of students, courses of study,discipline and other internal affairs of such university, as the board may seefit.
