13-1339. Police power of city; police officers.
Nothing in this act contained shall take away the power or duty of the
governing body with reference to the police power of the city, but it shall
be and remain the duty of the governing body to appoint and maintain such
police officers as it may deem reasonably necessary for the preservation of
peace, good order, and the protection of public rights, property in and
upon all parks, boulevards, and other public grounds of the city.
