      13-1374.   Parking stations; definitions; eminent domain.As used in this act and the act of which this act is amendatory, theterms "public parking stations" and "parking stations" includes parkinglots, passageways, arcades, and facilities for ingress and egress toparking facilities. Any city of the first class in the state of Kansas may,in the discretion of its governing body, acquire by purchase, gift orcondemnation, lands for public parking stations in or near commercial orindustrial districts in such city. In acquiring said lands for publicparking stations by condemnation, the provisions of K.S.A. 26-501 to26-516, inclusive, shall, insofar as applicable, apply to and be followedin such condemnation proceedings.
