13-2424.   Same; treasurer of board; duties; bond.The treasurer of the city in which said waterworks plant is locatedshall be ex officio treasurer of the waterworks board. All funds andproperty in the treasurer's hands belonging to the water department shallbe subject to the control of the waterworks board, and it shall be the dutyof said treasurer to receive and receipt for daily the money collected bythe employed [employees] of the said board, and to pay out the same whenordered by the waterworks board upon warrants signed by the chairman orvice-chairman of the board and countersigned by the manager of collectionsand accounts, certifying that such warrant is issued by authority of theboard. Said ex officio treasurer shall give a surety bond to saidwaterworks board in such amount as said board may deem necessary, said bondto be approved by said board and the premium thereon paid by said board.
