Article 7.--FIRE DEPARTMENT

     
13-796.   Overland Park fire protection services; adoption by
resolution; direction to board of county commissioners.
Overland Park is
hereby authorized to establish a city fire department or to contract with
any private or public entity for provision of fire protection services
within the corporate limits of the city by adopting a resolution to that
effect directed to the board of county commissioners of Johnson county.
Such resolution shall state a date certain for
the establishment of the city fire department or contractual relationship
with any private or public entity, which date shall be not less than 90 days
following adoption of such city resolution.
