13-797.   Same; dissolution and detachment of existing county fire districts.Upon receipt of a city resolution to establish a city firedepartment, the board of county commissioners shall forthwith issue anorder dissolving any fire district located wholly within the corporatelimits of Overland Park and an order detaching that portion of the area locatedwithin the corporate limits served by any fire district. Upon receipt ofa city resolution to contract with any private or public entity for fireprotection services, the board of county commissioners shall ordersuch dissolution and detachment. Any such orders of dissolutionand detachment shall be effective as of the date of establishment of thecity fire department or effective date of contractual arrangements with anyprivate or public entity.
