Chapter 14.--CITIES OF THE SECOND CLASS

Article 1.--GENERAL PROVISIONS

      14-111.   Meetings of council; quorum.Regular meetings of the council shall be held at such times, not lessthan once in each month, as shall be prescribed by ordinance. Specialmeetings may be called by the mayor or acting mayor, on the written requestof any three members of the council, specifying the object and purpose ofsuch meeting, which request shall be read at the meeting, and entered atlength on the journal. In all cases, it shall require a majority of thecouncilmen elect to constitute a quorum to do business; but a smallernumber may adjourn from day to day, and may compel the attendance of absentmembers, in such manner and under such penalties as the council byordinance may have previously prescribed.
