14-1204. Election of mayor and commissioners; terms and tenure.At the election first held in cities of the second class, adopting theprovisions of this act, the mayor and commissioners shall be elected forfour years; and at each election thereafter such officers shall be electedfor terms of four years, and shall hold their offices until theirsuccessors are elected and qualified. The mayor and two commissioners shallconstitute the board of commissioners of the city, and the mayor shall bethe presiding officer of the board. Mayors and commissioners elected in theyear 1967 shall have terms expiring in 1971. Mayors and commissionerselected in the year 1968 shall have terms expiring in 1973.
