Article 6.--HOSPITALS

      14-612.   Same; physicians; rights of patients.In the management of such hospital no discrimination shall be madeagainst practitioners of any school of medicine or healing recognized bythe laws of Kansas, and all such legal practitioners shall have equalprivileges in treating patients in said hospital. The patient shall havethe absolute right to employ, at his or her own expense, his or her ownphysician, and when acting for any patient in such hospital the physicianemployed by such patient shall have exclusive charge of the care andtreatment of such patient, and nurses therein shall, as to such patient, besubject to the directions of such physician, subject always to such generalrules and regulations as shall be established by the board of trusteesunder the provisions of this act.
