Article 6.--HOSPITALS

      14-655.   Bonds for acquiring site, building and equipping hospital incertain cities in certain counties between 14,000 and 18,000; limitation; election.The governing body of any city of the second class, located in a countyhaving a population of not less than fourteen thousand nor more thaneighteen thousand and having an assessed tangible valuation of not lessthan twenty-five million dollars nor more than thirty-five million dollarsand having within its boundaries two or more cities of the second class, ishereby authorized and empowered to issue the bonds of said city in anamount not exceeding one hundred thousand dollars for the purpose ofacquiring a site, building and equipping a hospital: Provided, Thatthe question of issuing such bonds shall be submitted to the vote of thepeople at any regular city election or at an election called for thatpurpose, and no bonds shall be issued until a majority of the qualifiedelectors who shall vote on the question at such election shall havedeclared by their votes in favor of issuing said bonds. Said election maybe called by the governing body upon its own motion.
