14-6,113. Hospital improvements, equipment and additions in certain
cities under 3,000; elections; bonds.
(a) The governing body of any city of the second class having a
population of less than three thousand (3,000) is hereby authorized and
empowered to issue general obligation bonds of said city in an amount not
exceeding the sum of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for the
purpose of making improvements, adding equipment or building and equipping
an addition to a hospital located therein.
(b) Before any such general obligation bonds shall be issued, the
governing body of such city shall submit the question of issuing such
general obligation bonds to a vote of the qualified voters of the city at a
regular city election or at an election called for that purpose. No bonds
shall be issued pursuant to this section until the issuance thereof has
been approved by a majority vote of the qualified electors voting thereon.
