Chapter 14.--CITIES OF THE SECOND CLASS
PART I.--GOVERNMENT BY MAYOR AND COUNCIL AND GENERAL LAWS APPLICABLE TO CITIES OF THE SECOND CLASS
Article 6.--HOSPITALS

      14-6,113.   Hospital improvements, equipment and additions in certaincities under 3,000; elections; bonds.(a) The governing body of any city of the second class having apopulation of less than three thousand (3,000) is hereby authorized andempowered to issue general obligation bonds of said city in an amount notexceeding the sum of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for thepurpose of making improvements, adding equipment or building and equippingan addition to a hospital located therein.

      (b)   Before any such general obligation bonds shall be issued, thegoverning body of such city shall submit the question of issuing suchgeneral obligation bonds to a vote of the qualified voters of the city at aregular city election or at an election called for that purpose. No bondsshall be issued pursuant to this section until the issuance thereof hasbeen approved by a majority vote of the qualified electors voting thereon.
