15-1117.   Natural gas production and sale; acquisition of drillingsite; contracts.Any city of the third class situated in a recognized and establishednatural gas field is hereby granted power and authority to acquire adrilling site by lease or purchase, and to drill upon said land or uponother land leased for the purpose or owned by said city, or unitized withany such lands, a well for the production of natural gas and to produce andsell natural gas therefrom, and to enter into all necessary or desirablecontracts for such purposes.
