15-731a.   Bonds for improving streets; election and nonlitigationcertificate not required.The governing body of any city which, prior to the effectivedate of this act, has authorized, pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A.15-731, and amendments thereto, the issuance of general obligation bondsof the city in the amount of $250,000 for the purpose ofresurfacing and repaving and otherwise improving certain streets in thecity together with necessary grading and drainage appurtenant thereto ishereby authorized to issueand sell such bonds in the manner provided by law without approval byelection and without executing a nonlitigation certificate required byK.S.A. 10-108a, and amendments thereto. All proceedings for the issuanceof such bonds and all bondsissued pursuant thereto are hereby validated and confirmed. The totalamount of bonds issued under authority of this act shall not exceed theamount of $250,000.
