16-1301.   Purpose.The purpose of this act is to prevent arbitrary or abusiveconduct and to preserve and enhance the reasonable expectations for success inthe business of distributing outdoor power equipment. The retail distributionof outdoor power equipment, as defined in this act, utilizing independentretail businesses operating under agreements with suppliers, vitally affectsthe general economy of the state, public interest, and public welfare, and itis necessary to regulate the business relations between the independentretailers and the outdoor power equipment suppliers.
