16-1401.   Purpose.The purpose of this act is to prevent arbitrary or abusiveconduct and to preserve and enhance the reasonable expectations for successin the business of distributing lawn and garden equipment. The retaildistribution of lawn and garden equipment, as defined in this act, utilizingindependent retail businesses operating under agreements with suppliers,vitally affects the general economy of the state, public interest, andpublic welfare, and it is necessary to regulate the business relationsbetween the independent retailers and the lawn and garden equipmentsuppliers.
