16-1805.   Suspension of performance, when.If any undisputed payment isnotmade within seven businessdays after the payment date established in a contract for private constructionor in this act, thecontractor and any subcontractors, regardless of tier, upon seven additionalbusiness days' written noticeto the owner and, in the case of a subcontractor, written notice to thecontractor, shall, withoutprejudice to any other available remedy, be entitled to suspend furtherperformance untilpayment, including applicable interest, is made. The contract time for eachcontract affected bythe suspension shall be extended appropriately and the contract sum for eachaffected contractshall be increased by the suspending party's reasonable costs ofdemobilization, delay andremobilization.
