16-718.   Periodic inspections to determine compliance with act.Law enforcement officers of a city or county shall have access during regularbusiness hours to the place of business of any pawnbroker or precious metaldealer conducting business in the city or county. Access shall be for thepurpose of periodically inspecting property pledged or purchased in thetransaction of the business of the pawnbroker or precious metal dealer,and records relating to those transactions, to determine if the pawnbrokeror dealer is complying with the provisions of this act.
