17-1332.   Same; filing offer to convey property; abandoned cemeteries. That before said petition shall be granted by said board of countycommissioners as hereinbefore provided, there shall be on file with theclerk of said board an offer by at least one cemetery association orcorporation in said proposed district, authorized by at least a majorityvote of its officers and directors to convey to said proposed cemeterydistrict association, all property, both real and personal, now owned bysaid association or corporation free of cost, and said cemetery associationor corporation is hereby authorized to make such conveyance upon a majorityvote of its officers and directors: Provided, That the petition may begranted by the board of county commissioners to a cemetery districtorganized to take over one or more abandoned cemeteries within the proposeddistrict if the petition is accompanied by an affidavit signed by one ormore residents of the district stating that the persons or associationowning or having control of said cemetery or cemeteries cannot beascertained or located and that said cemetery or cemeteries have beenabandoned for more than five years. Upon the granting of said petition saidcemetery district may take over and exercise ownership and control of saidabandoned cemetery or cemeteries and shall be vested with color of titlethereto.
