17-1333a.   Same; election of directors;vacancies.At the first annual meeting of cemetery districts, provided for byK.S.A. 17-1333, and amendments thereto, which occurs after the effectivedate of this act, directors shall be elected as follows: Two forterms of four years; one for a term of three years;one for a term of two years; and one for a term ofone year. Thereafter, upon the expiration of the term of adirector, a successor shall be elected for a term of four years. Directorsshall reside either (1) in the county or counties inwhich such cemetery district is located or (2) within 25 miles of thecemetery district boundaries. Upon the change of residency ofany director as required by this section, such director's office shall bedeemed to bevacated. Vacancies in the board of directors occasioned by removal,resignation or otherwise shall befilled for the unexpired term in like manner as original elections.
