17-1361.   Same; duties of board receiving proposition; territory notannexed, when.Whenever the board of directors of any cemetery district organized underthe provisions of K.S.A. 17-1330 et seq. and amendments thereto, shallreceive a proposition requesting the annexation of the territory of anotherdistrict to its district, such board shall, upon the call of its president,meet and determine the advisability of the annexation of such territory. Ifsuch board shall determine that the annexation of such territory isadvisable it shall cause its approval to be endorsed upon a copy of theproposition submitted by the district requesting annexation and shalltransmit the same to the board of county commissioners of the county. Ifthe board of such cemetery district shall determine that the annexation ofsuch territory is not in the best interests of its district, such territoryshall not be annexed.
