17-1517.   Same; resolution; notice of meeting of stockholders.The board of directors of any such telephone company deeming itadvisable to dispose of its property and assets and to dissolve suchcompany may adopt a resolution to that effect and the secretary of saidcompany shall cause a notice of the adoption of such resolution to beinserted in a newspaper published in the county where such company has itsprincipal place of business once a week for three consecutive weeks nextpreceding the time stated in such resolution for a meeting of thestockholders having voting power in such company stating time and place ofsuch meeting and that it is for the purpose of authorizing the board ofdirectors to dispose of all assets and property and to dissolve suchcompany. Said secretary shall also cause a notice of the adoption of suchresolution to be mailed to the known addresses of each stockholder residingin the United States.
