17-6409.   Shares of stock deemed personal property and transferable.The shares of stock in every corporation shall be deemed personalproperty and transferable as provided in the acts contained in article 8 ofchapter 84 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated. Whenever any transfer ofshares shall be made for collateral security, and notabsolutely, it shallbe so expressed in the entry of the transfer if, when the certificatesare presented to the corporation fortransfer or uncertificated shares are requested to be transferred,both the transferor andtransferee request the corporation to do so.
