17-7664. Name set forth in articles.The name of each limited liability companyas set forth in its articles of organization:
(a) Shall contain the words "limited liability company" or "limitedcompany", or theabbreviation "LLC," "LC" or the designation "LLC" or"LC";
(b) may contain the name of a member or manager;
(c) must be such as to distinguish it upon the records with the secretary ofstate from thename of any corporation, limited partnership, business trust, registeredlimited liability partnershipor limited liability company reserved, registered, formed or organized underthe laws of the state ofKansas or qualified to do business or registered as a foreign corporation,foreign limited partnershipor foreign limited liability company in the state of Kansas; provided however,that a limited liabilitycompany may register under any name which is not such as to distinguish it uponthe records withthe secretary of state from the name of any domestic or foreign corporation,limited partnership,business trust, registered limited liability partnership or limited liabilitycompany reserved,registered, formed or organized under the laws of the state of Kansas with thewritten consent of theother corporation, limited partnership, business trust, registered limitedliability partnership orlimited liability company, which written consent shall be filed with thesecretary of state; and
(d) may contain the following words: "company," "association," "club,""foundation,""fund," "institute," "society," "union," "syndicate," "limited" or "trust" (orabbreviations of likeimport).
