19-15,124.   Courthouses and jails in certain counties; site andbuilding; tax levy, use of proceeds.The board of county commissioners of any county which was making anannual levy for the purpose of creating a special fund to be used foracquiring a site for, and building, equipping and furnishing acourthouse and jail or any one or more of such purposes, under theprovisions of K.S.A. 19-1563 or 19-1569 at the time of the repeal ofsuch statutes, is hereby authorized to continue to make such annual taxlevies upon all taxable tangible property in such county for suchpurposes and to pay a portion of the principal and interest on bondsissued under the authority of K.S.A. 12-1774, and amendmentsthereto, by cities located in the county in an amount not to exceed onemill for a period of years which, together with the number of years inwhich a levy was actually made under the provisions of K.S.A. 19-1563 or19-1569, shall not exceed the total number of years stated in theresolution providing for the making of such annual tax levies under theprovisions of such statutes and the total amount collected shall notexceed that set forth in the original resolution authorizing such taxlevies.
