19-1601b.   Same; deputy or clerks; compensation; additionalcompensation to county officer.Such board of county commissioners may require any county official toprovide a deputy or such clerk or clerks as may be necessary to renderservices of his office at such place in the county as the board of countycommissioners shall direct. Such deputies and clerks shall be allowed suchcompensation as the board of county commissioners shall fix which shall bepaid from the county general fund. The board of county commissioners mayallow any elective county officer maintaining an office at a place otherthan the county seat such compensation for maintaining said office as itshall deem proper, which compensation shall be paid from the county generalfund and shall be in addition to any compensation or salary otherwiseprovided for by law.
