19-1917. Fugitives from other states; compensation for custody.Any county jail may be used for the safekeeping of any fugitive fromjustice from another state or territory, and the jailer shall in such casebe entitled to reasonable compensation for the support and custody of suchfugitive from justice, to be paid by the officer demanding the custody ofthe same.
