19-1934.   Same; financing of jail; bonds.(a) The board of county commissioners of Chase county is herebyauthorized to issue general obligation bonds of the county in an amount not toexceed $1,500,000 for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, furnishing andequippinga county jail. The proceeds of such bonds also may be used to purchase landand any improvements thereon from the Chase county public building commissionas a site for such jail. The board of county commissioners shall enter intoany agreement necessary to cancel all lease agreements entered into with theChase county public building commission concerning a county jail prior to theeffective date of this act.

      (b)   Bonds issued pursuant to this section shall be exempt from any statutorylimitation on bonded indebtedness and shall not be included in computing thetotal bonded indebtedness of the county.
