Chapter 19.--COUNTIES AND COUNTY OFFICERS
Article 22.--LICENSES

      19-2205.   Peddlers outside cities; annual taxes; exemptions.All persons plying the vocation of a peddler outside the limits of anyincorporated city within any county in this state, shall pay for the useof the county an annual tax of $25; those with an automobile or othervehicle, or selling by samples, $50: Provided, That nothing in thissection shall be held to apply to persons who have resided or transactedbusiness continuously in the county in which they work for a period ofone year next preceding the time of such sale; or to persons selling atwholesale to merchants; or to persons selling fresh meats, fruits, farmproducts, trees or plants exclusively: And provided further, Thatany person or persons paying license under K.S.A. 19-2201, 19-2202, 19-2203,19-2204 or othergeneral laws of the state of Kansas, shall not be required to pay alicense under this section.
