Article 26.--MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

      19-2649.   Same; supervisor or curator; appointment, compensation,duties; designation of incorporated museum or society as supervisor orcurator, when, compensation.Any such board which has established an historical collection asprovided in this act, may appoint and fix the compensation of a supervisoror curator for such historical collection. The board may appoint assupervisor or curator a person who is a county officer or employee, and ifsuch a county officer or employee is appointed the compensation fixed bysaid board shall be in addition to his compensation as such other countyofficer or employee and no other statute fixing or limiting thecompensation of county officers or employees shall apply to thecompensation received as such supervisor or curator. Said supervisor orcurator shall have charge of said historical collection, arrange for itsdisplay, care and maintenance and shall perform such other duties inconnection therewith as said board may require. If there is an incorporatedmuseum or an incorporated historical or similar society located within thecounty, such society may be designated by said board as the supervisor orcurator of such historical collection, and said board may provide to thesociety such compensation, funds or reimbursements for establishing,collecting, supervising, housing, displaying, caring for and maintainingsuch historical collection as shall be agreed upon by the board and thesociety.
