19-2664.   Same; election; amount of bonds.Any county voting to establish a steam and oil museum and culturalcenter may erect, restore, maintain and equip museum buildings andbuilding and grounds of cultural interest and procure and own sitestherefor, and pay expenses in connection with the ownership andoperation thereof; and may issue general obligation bonds of such countyfrom time to time in an aggregate total amount not exceeding threehundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for the purpose of paying the costof such buildings, equipment and sites. Before issuing any bondshereunder the question of such issuance shall be submitted to thequalified electors of the county and if a majority of those voting onthe proposition shall vote in favor thereof, such bonds may be issued. Aproposition to issue such bonds may be combined with the proposition toestablish a museum under the provisions of K.S.A. 19-2663. The electionshall be called and held, and the bonds issuedthereunder in accordance with the provisions of the general bond law.
