Article 27.--PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS; IMPROVEMENT AND SERVICE DISTRICTS

      19-27,173.   Oaklawn improvement district; excessmoneys in bond and interest fund, expenditure authorized.The board of directors of Oaklawn Improvement District locatedin Sedgwick county is authorized during calendar year 1998 to expend for publicimprovement purposesfunds being held in any bond and interest fund of the improvement district thatdo not exceed the balance of funds remaining in suchfund after payment of principal and interest fromsuch fund during calendar year 1998 has been credited and after applicationsfor refunds of taxes against such fund filed under K.S.A. 79-1702, andamendments thereto, have been unanimously recommended to be refunded bysuch board of county commissioners on or before February 15, 1998, have beencredited. The improvement district may authorize the expenditure of suchexcess funds during calendar year 1998 by adopting a resolution that identifiesthe public improvement for which such funds are to be expended and thatprescribes theamount to be expended from such fund.
