19-2802. Same; donations and bequests; regulations for supervision;board of trustees, when.The county may receive donations and bequests of either money orproperty, for the purposes established in K.S.A. 19-2801. The board ofcounty commissioners shall make all regulations necessary for thesupervision and conducting of said activities, and may hire such employeesas may be necessary. Whenever such activities have been established asauthorized under the provisions of K.S.A. 19-2801 and the countycommissioners, shall, by resolution, determine that it is to the bestinterests of the county to place the supervision of such activity under acounty board of trustees, the said commissioners may appoint a board of notless than three (3) members and not more than nine (9) members, composed ofpersons other than the board of county commissioners, who shall serve atthe pleasure of the commission. The board so established may be vested withall of the powers theretofore vested in the county commissioners, or suchsupervisory powers as the commissioners may, by resolution, delegate, andthe board so appointed may exercise all powers so delegated.
