Chapter 19.--COUNTIES AND COUNTY OFFICERS
Article 28.--PARKS, MUSEUMS, LAKES AND RECREATIONAL GROUNDS

      19-2833a.   City lakes and parks in certain counties; tax levy, use ofproceeds.The board of county commissioners of any county having a population ofmore than twenty thousand (20,000) and less than thirty thousand(30,000) and an assessed valuation of more than fifty-five milliondollars ($55,000,000) is hereby authorized to levy an annual tax on thetaxable tangible property within the county to provide funds for therecreational improvement of a city lake and park established by any cityof the second class located within the county and which park and lakeare located outside the city and to pay a portion of the principal andinterest on bonds issued under the authority of K.S.A. 12-1774,and amendments thereto, by cities located in the county. Whenever county fundsaremade available all residents of the county shall have equal access tothe use of the city park and recreational improvements therein.
