Chapter 19.--COUNTIES AND COUNTY OFFICERS


Article 28.--PARKS, MUSEUMS, LAKES AND RECREATIONAL GROUNDS

     
19-2841.   Establishment of joint parks and recreational grounds in
certain counties.

The board of county commissioners of any county having a population of
more than eight thousand and less than nine thousand and having an assessed
valuation of tangible property of more than sixteen million dollars, may
join with the board of county commissioners of an adjoining county having a
population of more than eleven thousand and less than twelve thousand and
having an assessed valuation of tangible property of more than twenty-three
million dollars, and the board of county commissioners of any county having
a population of more than forty thousand and less than fifty thousand and
having an assessed valuation of tangible property of more than one hundred
million dollars, may join with the board of county commissioners of an
adjoining county having a population of more than twenty-four thousand and
less than thirty thousand and having an assessed valuation of tangible
property of more than ninety million dollars, in establishing joint park
and recreational grounds, may purchase or acquire title to necessary lands
and property by donation, devise, bequest or condemnation proceedings for
the purpose of establishing such joint park and recreational grounds in
such counties.
