19-2860.   Same; definitions.As used in this act:

      (a)   The term "incorporated city" or "city" shall mean any city of anyclass without regard to its status as a separate township, if such it be,and now or hereafter located within the area originally comprising eitherShawnee or Mission townships in Johnson county, Kansas, at the time suchtownship was established;

      (b)   the term "Mission township" shall mean the entire area as originallyestablished, outside incorporated cities and within incorporated cities ofany class;

      (c)   the term "Shawnee township" shall mean the entire area as originallyestablished, outside incorporated cities and within incorporated cities ofany class;

      (d)   the terms "county commissioners," "county clerk," and "countytreasurer" shall mean, respectively, board of county commissioners, countyclerk and county treasurer of Johnson county;

      (e)   the terms "board" or "park board," "board of commissioners" or"governing board" shall mean the park and recreation board of commissionersherein provided for;

      (f)   the terms "district," "park district" and "park and recreationdistrict" shall mean the Johnson county park and recreation district hereinauthorized to be created;

      (g)   the word "park" shall mean not only park but also playground unlessby the context playground is not included and the term "park system" shallinclude the parks and playgrounds of the district.
