19-2866.   Same; officers, duties; authentication of signatures.The chairperson, and, in such chairperson's absence or disability, thevice-chairperson,shall preside at all meetings and sign, execute, acknowledge and deliverfor the board all contracts, warrants, or documents of any kind requiredor authorized to be signed and delivered by the board. If neither thechairpersonnor vice-chairperson is present at any meeting, the members present, ifthere is a quorum, shall elect from their members an acting chairpersonwhose sole power as acting chairperson shall be to preside over the meeting.The signature of the chairperson or vice-chairperson shall be authenticatedby the seal of the district and the signature of the secretary or assistantsecretary. The duties of the secretary and treasurer shall be those commonfor such officers, and as provided by this act, other laws of the stateof Kansas and as directed by the park board.
