Chapter 19.--COUNTIES AND COUNTY OFFICERS
Article 33.--FLOOD CONTROL

      19-3305.   Same; maintenance andoperation; tax levy, use of proceeds.For the purpose of maintaining and operating such flood control works asshall be constructed by the United States army corps of engineers orother agency of the United States government, when the same shall havebeen completed and turned over to the county and to pay a portion of theprincipal and interest on bonds issued under the authority of K.S.A. 12-1774,and amendments thereto, by cities located in the county,the board of countycommissioners of such county shall be empowered to make an annual taxlevy upon all of the taxable tangible property within thecounty. It shall be the duty of the board of county commissioners andthe county engineer to keep all such flood control works in serviceablecondition and to make such repairs as, from time to time, may benecessary.
